Paloma began as most things do - it was a dream of excitement that felt just out of reach. From home roasting on a popcorn popper with a name written out on a red notebook page, “Paloma” began to mean so much more than just coffee. Literally, it means peace, dove, spirit; but deeper than that, it means legacy, an end to hustle, dreams, family and the moments worth remembering.

The heart of our company is peace + connection.

To disconnect from the hustle the world offers and tune into a different frequency. Peace that is available here + now. (Paloma)

LEGACY OF DREAMS

  • At Paloma, we strive to create the perfect cup - one that's not only delicious, but also does right by those who grow it. We believe in getting back to the roots of good coffee, where every step of the process is stewarded with both earth and human in mind. We work closely with farmers and suppliers to make sure their practices align with our heart for clean coffee.

We know that not every farmer can afford to jump through the hoops (and there are a lot of them) for official organic certification, but that doesn't mean they're not doing things the right way. That's why we're introducing our 'organic practice' label - a nod to the farmers who are faithful land + coffee stewards even if they don't have the paperwork to prove it. We’re not big on fancy certifications anyway, we just want to know it’s the good stuff — free of nasties so you can trust that your morning cup is good for you and good for the earth. Cheers.

  • When we source coffee, we want to get as close to the farmer as possible. We want to honor them, honor the land and see everyone get a win - including you. Our current supplier is located in New England and has sourcing teams on location in each country of origin. This helps keep communication strong and ensure consistent cup scores year to year. All of our coffee currently comes from this supplier, but we have multiple offerings in the works that will be purchased directly from farmers or exporters in the country of origin.

  • The hard truth is, no coffee is truly mold free (yes, not even that brand.) But we hear you - we know you care about what’s going into your body, so do we! More important than testing is knowing what creates mold growth to begin with. Coffee grown with pesticides and insecticides carry a huge heavy metal load, which causes mold to grow because *get this* it EATS away the heavy metals. Nature is so cool. At Paloma, we source only organic practice coffee, which eliminates the need for unnatural mold and allows you to take that next sip with peace of mind.

  • We aren’t a coffee shop - yet. In the meantime, you can find our coffee at JD's Cafe in Waco, TX, where they're serving up our carefully crafted brews with a side of warmth and hospitality. Pop in, grab a cup, and experience Paloma for yourself.

  • We’re always up to share the love. We're passionate about building relationships with like-minded people who care about quality, sustainability, and community, so we'd love to chat with you about how we can work together. Send us an email and we’ll connect soon!
